You need the correct source network, the correct destination network, the asset, the amount, and enough native currency on the source chain to pay the transaction fee. On the destination side, you need the receiving wallet address and a little native currency if you will want to move or swap the asset afterward.
That is the whole job: lock or send the asset on one chain, then receive its representation or release on another. The extra choices are conveniences, not requirements. A speed option may prioritize a faster route. A slippage setting matters when you are swapping during the transfer. What to check before pressing confirm
The dangerous catch is that a bridge can complete successfully while still delivering the wrong thing. “USDC” on one network is not automatically the same contract or balance type on another. If the bridge shows a contract address, compare it with the project’s official token information rather than trusting a familiar logo.
For a first attempt, send a small test amount—enough to verify receipt, not enough to hurt if the route fails. Keep the destination wallet open on the right network, and do not close the transaction page until the source transaction is confirmed. If the destination balance does not appear, switch the wallet network or add the token manually before assuming the funds vanished.
